Freeman Restoration

The client contacted us with a special project. His wife had seen a black log home on Pinterest and that was her dream for their house. None of the stain companies we worked with had a stain that was black enough, she wanted as much of the brown to be gone as possible. Luckily, through partnership with Perma-chink, we were able to get a custom color that suited her. The color was called Double Black (No Brown) and any brown pigment that would usually be in the stain was removed.

A half log was replaced by the air conditioning where water was blowing back onto the house. The house was then washed, borated, and stained with the custom stain. We were able to find a caulk with Sashco that matched and the windows, doors, and checks were caulked in.

The homeowners were very pleased with the result and now have the black log home of their dreams.
